Ashley M. Buie, founder of Bird’s Eye Entertainment, Inc., continues to set the entertainment world on fire. Buie has catapulted her career from Production Assistant to Executive Producer. She has worked on a multitude of television shows with some of today’s top television networks including: BravoTV, Discovery, Oxygen, CNN, MTV, CMT, The Travel Channel, and VH1.

In her over 10-year span in the entertainment field Buie has worn many hats; working in multiple areas including stage management, event planning, talent management, radio production, writing, show development, consulting and television production. She began her career in television as a Production Assistant at CNN. In 2004, she relocated from Atlanta, Georgia to New York City and began working as a Production Assistant under the renowned Suzanne DePasse on Showtime at the Apollo. Buie transitioned to the Viacom family to work as a Production Coordinator for MTV Network’s mega hit shows TRL, Video Music Awards and Spring Break Series. Later she served in the same role at BET for the networks first ever, national VJ talent search, “New Faces.” Shortly after, she was promoted to Segment Producer and later to Coordinating Producer for BET’s “Murphy’s Law: Entirely Eddie…Entirely Genius” the first of its kind one-hour special on comedic legend Eddie Murphy. Buie left BET networks to join TV One as Executive Story Producer on the networks first hit reality show I Married A Baller, where she began her adventure in the world of reality docudrama. As a story producer, she has crafted the episodic plot lines for hit shows such as VHI’s The Salt ‘n Pepa Show, I Wanna Work for Diddy, & The Discovery Channel’s Wreakreation Nation. Most recently, Buie’s tremendous background in both creative writing and story development merged with her extensive experience in production management and logistics, when she became Supervising Producer of Bravo’s Nine by Design, the network’s first reality/makeover docusoap and HGTV’s My First Renovation. She’s currently working as the Co-Executive Producer for The Travel Channel’s Toy Hunter, where top vintage toy collector/buyer, Jordan Hembrough scours the country looking for rare, never-before-seen toys from the 1970′s and 80′s.

Despite her many accomplishments, her genuine passion has been in helping others reach success. In 2006, Buie founded Bird’s Eye Entertainment, Inc., a full-service production company and talent management firm based in NY. “I created Bird’s Eye Entertainment, Inc. to not only produce quality work, but to also support others seeking positive paths in the entertainment industry”, said Buie. In response to her faith driven success and talent, her company, in just over 5 years, has grown tremendously. The company turned out a profit in its first year, producing remarkable projects including Bird’s Eye’s first network development deal for BET’s “Flip the Script”, as well as acquiring management deals with BET VJ, Alesha Renee, local Atlanta radio personality, Tangie Larkin, and celebrity hairstylist Noel of Noel New York Boutique and Salon of Brooklyn, NY. Presently, Bird’s Eye Entertainment, Inc. is focused primarily on executing it’s most ambitious project yet: online network, BEE-TV. This network serves as a platform for up-in-coming producers, directors, and writers from minority ethnic backgrounds to get the exposure they need to push their independent projects to new heights. “Ultimately, it is my hope that Bird’s Eye Entertainment, Inc. achieves not only commercial success, but also, serves as a means to promote positive minority images, activities and ambitions throughout the world”, said Buie.

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Ashley grew up in the entertainment industry. Her mother is a local producer. She attended Howard University, where she graduated summa cum laude and earned a B.A. in Television Production.
